Inspired by the choral music of De lamentatione Ieremiæ Prophetæ (1602) by the Renaissance composer Alonso Lobo, LOBO is a poetic stage work for six performers in which voice, body and light converge into a single theatrical language.

Drawing on collective singing and a subtle, timeless choreographic landscape, LOBO shifts polyphony from the musical realm into the theatrical one, exploring the power of shared presence and the need to rediscover forms of community in an increasingly isolated world.

The performance unfolds around a large suspended sculpture that, in constant transformation, enters into dialogue with the performers, becoming a physical embodiment of the bonds, desires, laments and tensions that connect us to one another. 

Within this space, the voice ceases to function solely as a musical expression and becomes instead a gesture of contact, orientation and mutual recognition. Without using words, LOBO creates a sensory experience in which singing, movement and light invite the audience to reflect on otherness, highlighting the importance of human relationships, the need to belong, and the forces that draw us towards one another.
